When will the first ‘real’ fashion show take place in Mexico?
On June 24, 2018, I was in Los Angeles with some friends for a week of shopping.
As we were walking back to our hotel from the store, I spotted a sign on a wall that said, “TEXAS: LIVE: AUSTIN, TX.”
It was in Texas, but we knew we needed to get somewhere to get away from the crowds.
The place was filled with vendors selling everything from clothing to jewelry, and it felt like the only place in the world where you could find these items on sale.
As soon as we stepped outside, I saw people dressed up as Santa.
I asked one of the vendors if he could help me with my purchase, but he just stared at me and said, “‘Hey, Santa!’
You’re wearing white, right?”
I had never seen anything like it.
This was not the first time that someone in Texas had dressed up like Santa.
A few years ago, a young man named Andrew Scott from Dallas had made a short documentary about the concept, and this time around, he had a full-fledged line of clothing and accessories made specifically for Santa.
As of June 24th, you will be able to find Santa suits, shirts, hats, scarves, and more at the Austin-area clothing store, Impresora Textiles.
I wanted to tell everyone who I was, but I knew I’d be getting a little shy with my Santa costume.
I’m a big Santa fan.
The first time I met Santa, he showed up on my doorstep at the end of February 2017.
We got to talking about the year I had spent in Texas.
I told him that I had taken up Santa’s offer to be in the Texas town that I loved and he said, ‘What do you want me to do?’
I said, I want to go to Mexico.
He said, What are you talking about?
He’s a cowboy, Santa’s not a cowboy.
Santa has been the most important part of my life.
He is a true Santa.
When I first heard of the Austin location, I knew that it would be the perfect spot for me.
